  From Mindo Cloud Forest, head northeast on the E28 road towards the town of Nanegalito. Continue on this road for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach the junction with E35. Turn left onto E35 and follow the signs towards Otavalo. After about 30 kilometers, you will reach the city of Otavalo. From Otavalo, continue to Volcán Imbabura, which is approximately 12 kilometers to the north. Look for signs leading to the natural reserve. Be prepared for winding roads and ensure your vehicle is in good condition.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Volcán Imbabura from Mindo Cloud Forest using public transportation, first take a bus from Mindo to Quito (typically costs around $2-3). From Quito, you will need to transfer to a bus heading to Otavalo. Buses from Quito to Otavalo leave frequently and cost about $2-4. Once you arrive in Otavalo, look for a local bus or taxi that can take you to the base of Volcán Imbabura, approximately 12 kilometers away. The taxi ride should cost around $10-15.
