If you are driving from Mindo Cloud Forest, head east on the E28 road towards the town of Nanegalito. Continue on E28 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction with the E35 road. Take a right onto E35 and continue north for about 50 kilometers. Follow the signs towards Otavalo. Once you reach Otavalo, follow the signs to Volcán Imbabura, which is located just outside the city. There is parking available near the entrance.

To reach Volcán Imbabura via public transportation, you can take a bus from Mindo to Otavalo. Buses leave frequently from the main bus terminal in Mindo. The journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Otavalo, you can take a taxi or local bus to the base of Volcán Imbabura. Just inform the driver that you want to go to Volcán Imbabura, and they will know the route.
