From Mindo, head southeast on the E28 highway towards Nanegalito. After about 10 kilometers, you will see a sign for 'Refugio Paz de Las Aves.' Turn right onto the unpaved road and continue for approximately 3 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Refugio Paz de Las Aves. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain as the road can be bumpy.

Take a local bus from Mindo to Nanegalito. Buses leave regularly from the main bus terminal in Mindo, and the fare is usually around $1. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Nanegalito, you can either walk or take a taxi to Refugio Paz de Las Aves, which is about 3 kilometers away. A taxi from Nanegalito to the refuge might cost around $5.

If you are already in Nanegalito, you can walk to Refugio Paz de Las Aves. From the main square of Nanegalito, head east on the main road and look for the signs directing you to the refuge.
