Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Mindo town. Head south on the main road (E28) towards San Miguel de Los Bancos. After about 5 kilometers, you will see signs for Sendero de las Aves on your right. There is a small parking area available near the entrance. Be sure to check for any entrance fees, which are typically around $5 per person.
Public Transportation
To reach Sendero de las Aves using public transportation, walk to the main bus stop in Mindo. Look for buses heading towards San Miguel de Los Bancos. These buses run frequently and the fare is usually around $1.50. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Sendero de las Aves. After about 15-20 minutes, the bus will stop near the entrance. From there, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the entrance.
Walking
If you're staying nearby, you can walk to Sendero de las Aves. From the main square in Mindo, head south on the main road (E28). It’s approximately a 1.5 to 2-kilometer walk, which should take around 30 minutes. Look for the signs directing you to Sendero de las Aves along the way.
