Getting There

    If you're traveling by car from Oriente, take the E28 highway heading west towards Quito. Follow the signs for Quito and take the exit for Guayllabamba. Continue straight on the Panamericana Norte (E35) until you reach the Pircapamba intersection. Turn right onto Pircapamba road, and the Zoológico de Quito will be on your right. Expect about a 1.5 to 2-hour drive depending on traffic conditions. Note that parking is available on-site.

    To reach Zoológico de Quito via public transport from Oriente, first, take a bus from your current location to the main terminal in Quito, 'Terminal Terrestre Quitumbe'. From there, board a bus heading towards Guayllabamba. Inform the driver you want to get off at the Pircapamba intersection. Once you get off, walk about 500 meters along Pircapamba road to reach the zoo. The total travel time may vary but generally takes around 2.5 to 3 hours, including wait times for buses.
