Walking
Begin at the Plaza de los Ponchos, the central market in Otavalo. Head south on Avenida 31 de Octubre until you reach Calle Sucre. Turn left onto Calle Sucre and continue walking straight. After about 10 minutes, you will reach the intersection with Avenida González Suárez. Cross Avenida González Suárez and continue straight along Calle Sucre until you reach the edge of town where the road begins to incline slightly. Keep walking for another 15 minutes until you see signs leading to El Lechero.
Public Transport
From the Plaza de los Ponchos, take a local bus heading towards 'El Lechero'. You can catch this bus on Avenida 31 de Octubre. Make sure to ask the driver to inform you when you reach El Lechero, as it is a known destination. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes, and you will be dropped off near the entrance. From there, it is a short walk to the observation deck.
