Start from the central Plaza de los Ponchos in Otavalo. Walk along Calle Sucre heading south until you reach the intersection with Calle 31 de Octubre. Turn left onto Calle 31 de Octubre and continue walking until you reach the main bus terminal, Terminal Terrestre de Otavalo. Once there, look for a bus heading to Ibarra. The buses are frequent, so you should not have to wait long. When you board the bus, inform the driver or conductor that you're going to Mirador de Laguna de Yahuarcocha. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. After arriving at the bus stop near the entrance to Yahuarcocha, get off and walk towards the lake. Follow the signs leading to the Mirador, which is a short uphill walk from the main road.
