Discover more about Treehouse

Venture into the highlands of San Cristobal Island and discover the Treehouse, a testament to human creativity and resourcefulness. Known locally as Casa del Ceibo, this attraction is built around a colossal Ceibo tree, estimated to be over 300 years old. The tree itself is a sight to behold, with a massive trunk and sprawling branches that create a natural cathedral. For over 25 years, the owners have been constructing this multi-level treehouse, complete with a sitting area, kitchenette, bathroom and sleeping area. A suspension bridge and fireman's pole provide access to different parts of the structure. Below the treehouse, a sculpture made from over 22,000 glass bottles adds to the whimsical atmosphere. Inside the tree's trunk, you'll find a unique 'man cave' where visitors can make a wish. The Treehouse offers a memorable experience and a chance to appreciate the unique environment of the Galapagos. It's a popular stop on highland tours, often combined with visits to El Junco Lagoon and La Galapaguera Tortoise Reserve. The family who owns the treehouse also serves home-baked banana cake and organic coffee.
