If you are in the historic center of Quito, you can easily walk to Carondelet Palace. Start at Plaza de la Independencia (also known as Plaza Grande). From the plaza, head east on García Moreno street. Continue straight for about 5 minutes until you reach Carondelet Palace, which will be on your left. Look for the impressive entrance with the Ecuadorian flag above it.
Public Bus
To reach Carondelet Palace via public bus, find a bus stop near your location. Look for the buses with the route numbers that go to the Centro Histórico area. Once on the bus, pay attention to the stops. You want to get off at the stop closest to Plaza de la Independencia. From there, walk east along García Moreno street for about 5 minutes, and you will see Carondelet Palace on your left.
Taxi
If you prefer to take a taxi, you can hail one from the street or use a ride-hailing app. Simply tell the driver you want to go to 'Carondelet Palace' or provide the address: QFJP+5X2, García Moreno. The driver will take you directly to the entrance. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
Bicycle
If you're renting a bicycle, head to the bike lanes that are common in the Centro Histórico area. Cycle towards Plaza de la Independencia. Once you reach the plaza, park your bike and walk east on García Moreno street for about 5 minutes to arrive at Carondelet Palace, which will be on your left.
