If you are in the historic center of Quito, you can easily walk to Carondelet Palace. Start at Plaza de la Independencia (also known as Plaza Grande). From the plaza, head east on García Moreno street. Continue straight for about 5 minutes until you reach Carondelet Palace, which will be on your left. Look for the impressive entrance with the Ecuadorian flag above it.

To reach Carondelet Palace via public bus, find a bus stop near your location. Look for the buses with the route numbers that go to the Centro Histórico area. Once on the bus, pay attention to the stops. You want to get off at the stop closest to Plaza de la Independencia. From there, walk east along García Moreno street for about 5 minutes, and you will see Carondelet Palace on your left.
