Getting There

• Bus

  From the city center of Quito, head to the 'Terminal Terrestre Quitumbe' bus terminal. You can take a taxi or use public buses to get there. Once at the terminal, look for the bus companies that operate routes to Papallacta. Buses to Papallacta are frequent, and the journey typically takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to confirm with the bus driver that you are going to 'Papallacta' and enjoy the scenic ride. After arriving at the bus stop in Papallacta, you will find signs directing you to the hot springs, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.

• Shared Shuttle

  You can book a shared shuttle service from Quito to Papallacta. Many travel agencies in Quito offer this service. Pickup usually occurs from central hotels or designated pickup points. The shuttle ride takes about 1.5 hours. Upon arrival in Papallacta, the shuttle will drop you off near the hot springs, so you won’t have to walk far.

• Private Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a private taxi. You can find taxis in various locations throughout Quito, or you can book one through an app like Uber. Instruct the driver to take you to 'Papallacta Hot Springs' located at km. 65 via Quito - Baeza. The journey will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic, and you will be dropped off directly at the entrance of the hot springs.
