Bus
To get to Selva Alegre from the Historic Center of Quito, walk to the nearest bus stop on Avenida 10 de Agosto. Look for a bus heading towards the 'El Ejido' area. The bus fare is approximately $0.25. Stay on the bus for about 20-30 minutes until you reach the 'El Ejido' stop. After getting off, walk towards Avenida Patria and turn left. Continue for about 10 minutes until you see the entrance to Selva Alegre on your right.
Trolebus
From the Plaza de la Independencia, walk to the 'La Mariscal' Trolebus station. Take the Trolebus heading to 'La Ofelia' and get off at the 'El Ejido' stop. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes. Once you exit the Trolebus, walk towards Avenida Patria and turn left. Continue walking for about 10 minutes until you arrive at Selva Alegre.

From anywhere in Quito, you can hail a taxi or use a ride-sharing app. Provide the driver with the address '170129 Quito' or simply say 'Selva Alegre'. If you are nearby, you can walk to Selva Alegre from the Parque El Ejido. Head south from the park entrance towards Avenida Patria.
