Car
To reach Cotopaxi- Administration National Park by car, start from the nearest major city in the Sucumbíos Region. If you are in the city of Nueva Loja, take the E45 highway heading south. Continue for approximately 50 kilometers until you reach the junction with the E28 highway. Turn onto the E28 heading east. After about 30 kilometers, you will see signs for Cotopaxi National Park. Follow the signs to the park entrance located at coordinates 8CCW+C8V. Parking is available at the entrance, but be mindful of the park's opening hours, which are from 8 AM to 3 PM from Monday to Friday, and 8 AM to 3 PM on weekends.

If you prefer public transportation, begin at the central bus terminal in Nueva Loja. Look for buses heading towards Latacunga or Quito, as they often pass near Cotopaxi National Park. The bus fare is typically around $5-10 USD, depending on your destination. Inform the bus driver that you want to get off at the Cotopaxi area. Once you arrive, you may need to take a local taxi or walk to the park entrance, which is a few kilometers from the main road. Ensure you arrive during the park's operating hours to gain entry.
