    Getting There

    Walking

    From the Metropolitan Cultural Center, walk one block north on Garcia Moreno street. Independence Square will be on your left. No costs involved.

    Public Transport

    From the Rio Coca terminal, take the Ecovía bus line E3 towards 'Estación Playón de La Marín'. The bus fare is $0.35. Get off at the 'Estación Marín Central' bus stop. From there, walk approximately 7 minutes (600 meters) to Plaza Grande / Plaza de la Independencia.

    Taxi

    From La Mariscal, a short taxi ride to Independence Square will cost approximately $2.50 - $3.00. Taxis are yellow, and most have meters. Confirm the fare or ensure the meter is running. Uber, DiDi and inDrive are also available.
