If you are traveling by car, start in the town of Zamora, which is the capital of the Zamora-Chinchipe Region. From Zamora, take the E45 highway heading south toward the town of Yantzaza. After approximately 30 kilometers, you will reach a junction; continue straight on the E45. After approximately 10 kilometers, look for signs indicating the turn-off for ChuroRaper. The exact turn-off is located at approximately -4.0076 latitude and -79.2084 longitude. Follow the dirt road for about 2 kilometers until you reach ChuroRaper. Make sure your vehicle is suitable for unpaved roads, as the last part may be bumpy.
Public Transportation
To reach ChuroRaper using public transportation, first take a bus from Zamora to Yantzaza. Buses depart frequently from the main bus terminal in Zamora, and the fare is typically around $2. Once in Yantzaza, look for a local taxi or shared taxi (known as 'taxi colectivo') that can take you to the turn-off for ChuroRaper. This part of the journey may cost an additional $5-$10. From the turn-off, you will need to walk approximately 2 kilometers on a dirt road to reach ChuroRaper. Make sure to confirm with the driver about the exact drop-off point.
