If you are starting from the Alexandria Corniche, walk eastward along the waterfront. You will pass by several cafes and shops. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Qaitbay Citadel, which is a well-known landmark. The Lighthouse of Alexandria was originally located on the site of the Citadel, so you are very close.

From the central area of Alexandria, you can take a microbus heading towards As Sayalah Sharq. Ask the driver to drop you off near the Citadel. Once you get off, walk towards the sea; the Lighthouse of Alexandria was located at this site, near the Citadel.
