Walking
If you are starting from the Alexandria Library, head east on El Horreya Road towards the Corniche. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will reach the Corniche. Turn left and continue walking along the waterfront. Keep going for about 10 more minutes until you see the Qaitbay Citadel on your right. Qaitbay Square is located directly in front of the Citadel.
Public Transport (Bus)
From the Alexandria Library, walk to the nearest bus stop along El Horreya Road. Take bus number 901 (or any bus heading towards Anfoushi). Inform the driver that you want to go to Qaitbay Square. The journey will take about 20 minutes. Get off at the stop near the Qaitbay Citadel, and you will see Qaitbay Square right in front.
Taxi/Carriage
If you prefer a more comfortable option, you can take a taxi or a horse-drawn carriage (known locally as 'abri'). From any location in Alexandria, tell the driver you want to go to Qaitbay Square near the Citadel. The journey duration will depend on traffic but generally takes around 15 to 30 minutes. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.
