If you are in the central area of Alexandria, head towards the waterfront. From the Alexandria Library, walk south along the Corniche. You'll see the Mediterranean Sea on your left. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Qaitbay Citadel, which is a prominent landmark. Qaitbay Square is located just outside the citadel.
