The Towering Wonder of Pompey’s Pillar
Visiting Pompey’s Pillar felt like stepping into a forgotten chapter of history. It rises proudly above the surrounding ruins, and I could only imagine how majestic the complex once was. Our guide Youssef offered a short but powerful explanation of the site's Roman-Egyptian significance. The surrounding ruins were fascinating to explore, with plenty of room to roam and take pictures. The transportation from Cairo was smooth, and bottled water was provided throughout the day, which helped a lot with the heat.
