Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Aswan and are a convenient way to reach the Nile River from various locations in the city. A short taxi ride from the Aswan train station or airport to the Kornish Al Nile typically costs between 27.5 EGP to 47 EGP, depending on the distance and your negotiation skills. Be sure to agree on a fare with the driver before starting your journey. Taxis do not have meters.
Ferry
To visit the islands in the Nile, such as Elephantine Island or the Nubian Village, take a public ferry from the ferry dock on the Kornish Al Nile. The ferry to Elephantine Island costs 10 EGP per person. The ferry to the Nubian village costs around 5-10 EGP. Check the ferry schedule, as they may not run continuously throughout the day.
