From the Aswan city center, many attractions are within walking distance. The Corniche, Nubian Museum, and Aswan Bazaar are easily accessible on foot. Walking allows you to immerse yourself in the city's vibrant streets and bazaars. Remember to negotiate prices before purchasing anything.

Public Transport

To reach locations further from the city center, such as Philae Temple or Elephantine Island, consider using the public ferry. The public ferry to Elephantine Island departs from the El Sadat pier near KFC on the Corniche and costs around 10 EGP. Ferries to the West Bank, where many tombs and other attractions are located, also depart regularly. A public ferry to Nubian Village costs 5-10 EGP.

Taxi

Taxis are readily available in Aswan but are not metered. It is essential to negotiate the fare before starting your journey. As a general guideline, a short trip within the city center should cost around 27.5 EGP. For longer distances, such as to the Aswan Airport, expect to pay more. The base fare is 10 EGP, and each kilometer is priced at 3.5 EGP.
