Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the vicinity of Heliopolis, you can easily walk to The Child Museum. From the main square in Heliopolis (Al-Hekma Square), head southeast on El-Hegaz Street. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Abou Bakr El-Sedeek Street. Turn left onto Abou Bakr El-Sedeek Street and walk for another 300 meters. The Child Museum will be on your right at 34 Abou Bakr El-Sedeek.

• Metro

  If you are further out, you can take the Cairo Metro. Get on the Metro line 3 (the light green line) and travel towards El-Ahram. Disembark at the 'Heliopolis' station. From there, exit the station and head northeast to find a local bus or microbus that goes towards Abou Bakr El-Sedeek. You can ask locals or check signs for buses heading in that direction. The fare for the metro is approximately 5 EGP, and the bus fare is around 2 EGP. Once you reach Abou Bakr El-Sedeek, walk about 5 minutes to the museum at number 34.

• Microbus

  For a more local experience, you can hop on a microbus from any major street in Heliopolis. Look for a microbus heading towards 'Abou Bakr El-Sedeek' or 'El-Bostan'. The fare is usually around 2-5 EGP depending on the distance. Once you get off the microbus, walk for about 10 minutes to the museum. It will be located at 34 Abou Bakr El-Sedeek, which is a straightforward walk from the main road.

• Ride-sharing

  If you prefer a more comfortable option, consider using a ride-sharing app like Uber or Careem. Simply input 'The Child Museum' or the address '34 Abou Bakr El-Sedeek, El-Bostan, Heliopolis' in the app. The cost will vary but expect to pay around 20-50 EGP depending on your starting location within Heliopolis.
