The Townhouse supports artistic expression across various media, offering a diverse program of exhibitions, residencies for artists and curators, educational initiatives, and outreach programs. It has also been a catalyst for the development of other art spaces in Cairo.Townhouse Gallery hosts over twelve annual exhibitions in its main building, which includes the 650-square-meter Factory space and the First Floor Gallery. These exhibitions showcase the work of young, emerging talents alongside established artists with international acclaim. The gallery has also initiated large-scale events such as the citywide Nitaq Festival in 1999 and PhotoCairo, Egypt's first photography and video art festival in 2002.More than just an exhibition space, the Townhouse Gallery is a hub for cultural exchange and artistic development.
