Sand City Hurghada is a captivating open-air museum, the only one of its kind in the Middle East, showcasing the incredible artistry of sand sculpting. Opened in December 2013, the museum spans 10,000 square meters and features over 42 sculptures and 17 reliefs created by talented artists from around the world. The project took seven months to complete, utilizing 11,000 cubic meters of sand and 4,000 tons of water.The museum is divided into two distinct zones, each offering a unique theme. The Historical Art zone features sculptures of legendary figures, including pharaohs like Ramses II and Queen Nefertiti, military leaders like Alexander the Great and Napoleon, and deities from ancient mythologies. Visitors can marvel at depictions of the Egyptian Sphinx, scenes from the Battle of Kadesh, and characters from ancient romances.The Wonderland Art zone showcases beloved characters from the world of Disney and Hollywood. Here, visitors can encounter iconic figures like King Kong, Batman, Spider-Man, Nemo, and characters from Pirates of the Caribbean. This section offers a delightful experience for children and adults alike.Sand City provides an immersive experience, allowing visitors to journey through history and fantasy. In addition to the sculptures, the museum offers a shopping square, coffee shop, kids' playground, and a workshop called "Magic Castle". Visitors can also enjoy sculpting and sand art workshops, providing a unique and enjoyable experience. The sculptures are crafted with a special treatment to withstand weather conditions, ensuring their longevity.
