From Cairo, take a bus to Aswan. Companies like Go Bus or Super Jet operate this route, and the journey takes about 12-14 hours. Once you arrive in Aswan, take a taxi to the Corniche area and ask to be dropped off at جزيرة اليفانتين (Elephantine Island). The taxi fare may range between 20-30 EGP.
Public Transportation (Train)
Take a train from Cairo to Aswan, which is a comfortable and scenic option. The train ride takes approximately 14-16 hours. Check the Egyptian National Railways website for schedules. Once you arrive in Aswan, you can take a taxi to the Corniche area. The taxi fare should be around 20-30 EGP.
Local Transport (Taxi or Tuk-tuk)
Once you are in Aswan, if you are near the Corniche, you can take a taxi or a tuk-tuk to جزيرة اليفانتين (Elephantine Island). The ride should not cost more than 10-15 EGP. Ensure that you negotiate the fare beforehand if you’re taking a tuk-tuk.
Walking
If you are already in the Corniche area, you can walk to the ferry terminal and take a short boat ride to Elephantine Island. The ferry service is frequent and costs around 5 EGP per person. Once on the island, follow the signs to Animalia.
