Car
If you have access to a car, start your journey from Sharm El Sheikh or Dahab. Take the main road towards Taba, which is well-marked and follows the coastline. The drive will take approximately 2 to 3 hours. Once you reach Taba, look for signs indicating Wadi l Matamer. You will need to navigate to the coordinates R9J4+3J, which is roughly 10 kilometers from Taba city center. Parking is available near the entrance to the Wadi.
Public Transportation
For those relying on public transportation, take a bus from Sharm El Sheikh or Dahab to Taba. Buses are available, and the trip may take around 3 hours. Once in Taba, you can hire a taxi to take you to Wadi l Matamer. Ensure to confirm the fare before starting the journey, which may cost around 100-150 EGP depending on negotiations. The taxi ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes.
Walking
If you are already in Taba and prefer to walk, you can hike to Wadi l Matamer from the city center. Be prepared for a trek of about 10 kilometers, which will take around 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to carry plenty of water and wear suitable hiking gear. Follow the road signs towards Wadi l Matamer and enjoy the scenic views along the way.
