Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the town of Saint Catherine. Take the main road (Mount Sinai Road) heading southwest. Follow the signs towards Mount Sinai, which will lead you to the main entrance of the Mount Sinai National Park. Upon reaching the entrance, there will be a parking area where you can leave your vehicle. From the parking area, you will need to continue on foot towards Willow Peak. The trail to Willow Peak is well-marked and will take approximately 1-2 hours to hike depending on your pace.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can catch a bus from Sharm El Sheikh or Dahab to Saint Catherine. The bus will drop you off at the central bus station in Saint Catherine. From there, you can hire a local taxi or arrange a ride with a local tour operator to reach the Mount Sinai National Park entrance. The taxi ride should take around 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at the entrance, follow the same trail to Willow Peak as mentioned for car travelers.

• Hiking

  After arriving at the Mount Sinai National Park entrance (either by car or taxi), start your hike towards Willow Peak. The trail is accessible and well-marked. Ensure you have suitable hiking gear, plenty of water, and snacks for the hike. Follow the signs indicating Willow Peak, and enjoy the scenic views along the way. This hike will take roughly 1-2 hours, so plan accordingly.
