If you are driving from the town of Saint Catherine, head southeast on the main road (St. Catherine Road) towards Mount Sinai. Follow signs for 'Mount Sinai' or 'Jebel Musa'. The drive takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the parking area near the base of Mount Moses, you will find a designated parking lot where you can leave your vehicle (parking fees may apply, usually around 10-20 EGP). From the parking area, you will need to walk to the trailhead, which is well-marked.

Public Transportation
To reach Mount Moses via public transportation, take a bus or microbus from Sharm El Sheikh to Saint Catherine. The journey takes about 2-3 hours and costs approximately 30-50 EGP. Once you arrive in Saint Catherine, you can hire a taxi to take you directly to the base of Mount Moses, which should cost around 100-150 EGP for the one-way trip. The taxi driver will drop you off at the parking area, from where you will walk to the trailhead.

Once you have reached the trailhead at the base of Mount Moses, you can begin your hike up the mountain. There are two main paths: the Camel Path, which is a longer but gentler slope, and the Steps of Repentance, which is steeper and more challenging. Both paths take about 1.5 to 2 hours to ascend. Be sure to bring water, snacks, and suitable hiking shoes. There is no entrance fee to hike Mount Moses, but consider hiring a local guide for an enhanced experience, which may cost around 150-200 EGP.
