Car
If you are driving from Hurghada, take the El Gouna Road (Road 1) heading south. Continue on the road for about 200 kilometers until you reach Marsa Alam. Once in Marsa Alam, follow the signs towards the city center, then navigate towards the Unnamed Road (GM42+R88) where Marsa Mares is located. The journey will take approximately 3 to 4 hours depending on traffic. Ensure to check for any tolls along the way.
Public Bus
From Hurghada, you can take a public bus heading to Marsa Alam. There are several bus companies operating on this route, such as Go Bus or Super Jet. The trip takes around 4 to 5 hours. Once you arrive in Marsa Alam, you can take a taxi to Marsa Mares. Make sure to negotiate the fare with the taxi driver before starting your journey; expect to pay around 100 EGP (Egyptian Pounds).
Taxi
If you are already in Marsa Alam and need to reach Marsa Mares, you can hire a local taxi. Most taxis in the area operate on a fixed fare basis. The distance from Marsa Alam city center to Marsa Mares is about 20 kilometers, and the taxi ride should cost approximately 150 EGP. Be sure to confirm the price before starting your ride.
