Getting There

Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Luxor. Head west on the Luxor-Qena road (Route 85). Continue for approximately 40 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the village of Al-Qurna. Turn right and follow the road signs towards Al-Qurna. After entering the village, you will see signs directing you to the Valley of the Monkeys. The final stretch requires navigating through a dirt road, so be prepared for a bumpy ride. The location is approximately 10 kilometers from Al-Qurna.

From Luxor, you can take a microbus from the central bus station to Qena. The journey will take about 30 to 40 minutes and costs around 10 EGP. Once you arrive in Qena, you need to take a taxi or another microbus heading towards Al-Qurna. Make sure to inform the driver that your destination is the Valley of the Monkeys. The taxi ride should cost around 50 EGP and take roughly 20 minutes. The drop-off point will be near the entrance to the Valley.
