If you are driving from Luxor, take the Qena-Luxor Road (Route 60) and head towards Qena. From Qena, continue on Route 60 until you reach the junction with Route 71. Take Route 71 towards Al Wadi Al Gadid. Follow the signs for Al Wadi Al Gadid Desert. The final destination is located at M44C+26H, approximately 230 km from Luxor. Make sure to refuel at Qena as there are limited services in the desert area.

To reach the Westren Desert Way by public transport, take a bus from Luxor to Kharga. Buses depart frequently from Luxor's bus station and the journey takes about 5-6 hours. Upon arriving in Kharga, you can hire a taxi or arrange for a local guide to take you to M44C+26H in Al Wadi Al Gadid Desert. The taxi fare can vary, so it's advisable to negotiate the price beforehand, which may cost around 200-300 EGP.
