Samer had arranged everything in advance, so there was no queuing and no wasted time, and his knowledge of the temple's astronomy and symbolism added real depth to what we were seeing. Abydos was atmospheric and mysterious, and the whole day felt personal rather than packaged. Lunch was included, water was provided, and nothing was pushed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Curse of the Pharaohs in Dendera & Abydos 😂

After finishing our Nile cruise, we were really curious to visit Dendera and Abydos, especially since we had already heard a bit about them back in Abu Simbel. It made us feel like there’s some kind of connection between all these temples. We also had an extra day at Steigenberger Hotel, so the company arranged a one-day trip for us. My sister’s husband was asking a lot of questions and trying to connect everything between the temples, which honestly made us even more excited to see it all in real life instead of just hearing about it. We started early in the morning and took a breakfast box from the hotel with us. The drive was a bit long, but overall calm and not too exhausting. Inside the temples, the explanation was simple and easy to follow, not complicated at all, which made the experience much clearer instead of feeling overwhelmed with information. In Dendera, what really caught our attention was the Zodiac of Dendera on the ceiling. It looked very unique and beautiful. We were told that the original is in France at the Louvre Museum, and what we see there is a copy preserved in the temple. After that, we naturally started connecting the temples together in our minds, as if each place completes the other. Funny moment during the day — we had a small delay because of a tire issue with the car, but it was quickly fixed and we continued. We even laughed about it because it reminded us of the movie “The Mummy” 😂 On the way, we had a simple lunch — Egyptian flatbread with honey and cheese. Nothing fancy, but surprisingly delicious and comforting. Dendera was absolutely beautiful, full of amazing details and colors, and Abydos had a very calm and different kind of energy. At the end of the day, it was simple… but the kind of day that stays in your memory for a long time.
