    From San Salvador, take bus #202 from Terminal de Occidente towards Chalchuapa. The journey takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Alternatively, take a bus to Santa Ana from the main terminal in San Salvador, then transfer to a local bus or taxi to Chalchuapa. From Santa Ana, buses #202 or #218 will take you to Chalchuapa. Ask the driver to drop you off near C. Tazumal; from there, it's about a 10-minute walk to the park entrance. The bus fare from San Salvador to Santa Ana is approximately $1.50, and local transportation to Chalchuapa may cost around $0.50 to $1. Within Chalchuapa, bus fares typically cost a few cents up to $1.

    From San Salvador, take the CA-1 highway towards Santa Ana. After approximately 60 km (about 1 hour), take the exit towards Chalchuapa. Drive 5 km on the local road until you reach C. Tazumal, where the park is located. Street parking is available near the entrance. Be aware that parking inside the park is not available. Parking on the street is free.

    From Chalchuapa's town center, Parque Arqueológico Tazumal is easily accessible on foot. Head south on the 11 Avenida Sur until you reach Calle a El Cuje, where the park is located. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes, offering a glimpse into the local neighborhood. There is no cost associated with walking.
