If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Asmara. Head south on the main highway (A1) towards Nefasit. After approximately 15 kilometers, take the exit towards Nefasit. Follow the road signs to Nefasit, which will lead you through a scenic route with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Once in Nefasit, look for signs directing you to Debre Bizen Monastery. The monastery is located about 5 kilometers from the center of Nefasit, situated on a hilltop. Parking is available near the entrance.

For those using public transportation, start by taking a minibus (known locally as 'Higer') from the Asmara bus station to Nefasit. The fare is typically around 10 Nakfa. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Nefasit, you can either walk (about 5 kilometers) or hire a local taxi to take you directly to Debre Bizen Monastery. Taxis can be negotiated, but expect to pay around 100 Nakfa for the short ride up to the monastery.
