Walking
From the center of Keren, head towards the main market area. Look for the main road that leads out of the market. Walk straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with the main road leading towards Asmara. Turn left at the junction and continue walking for approximately 300 meters. You will notice a series of small shops and local eateries along the way. Keep an eye out for directional signs pointing towards the mosque. After walking for another 500 meters, you will see the Khulafa al-Rashidun Mosque on your right. It's a prominent structure, so it should be easy to spot.
Bicycle
If you are renting a bicycle, start from the center of Keren and head towards the main market area. Cycle straight for about 1 kilometer and turn left at the junction onto the main road leading to Asmara. Continue for about 300 meters, passing by various shops. After another 500 meters, the Khulafa al-Rashidun Mosque will be visible on your right. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on your cycling speed.
Public Transport (if available)
Look for any local buses or shared taxis in the Keren market area that might be heading towards Asmara. Board one of these vehicles and inform the driver that you want to get off near the Khulafa al-Rashidun Mosque. The mosque is a well-known landmark, so the driver should be familiar with it. After approximately 15-20 minutes of travel, ask the driver to drop you off at the closest point to the mosque. From there, it’s just a short walk to the entrance.
