Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Kuressaare, the capital of Saare County. Head north on the main road (Route 10) towards the Muhu Island ferry terminal in Virtsu. The drive takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Virtsu ferry terminal, purchase a ticket for the ferry to Muhu. The ferry ride lasts about 30 minutes and operates frequently. After disembarking at Muhu, follow the signs to your desired destination on the island.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, you can take a bus from Kuressaare to Virtsu. Buses are available several times a day, and the journey takes around 45 minutes. After arriving at the Virtsu bus stop, walk to the ferry terminal to catch the ferry to Muhu. Be sure to check the ferry schedule in advance, as it can vary by season. The ferry ride will take about 30 minutes, and tickets can be purchased at the terminal.

The ferry from Virtsu to Muhu is the key transportation method. Ensure you arrive at the ferry terminal at least 15 minutes before departure to purchase your ticket and board the ferry.
