Getting There

  • Bus

    From Jõhvi, head to the Jõhvi bus station located at Kesk. 4, 41537 Jõhvi. Take bus number 124 or 125 towards Valaste. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to get off at 'Valaste' which is the stop closest to the waterfall. Once you get off the bus, follow the signs towards the Valaste Waterfall, which is about a 10-15 minute walk from the bus stop.

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Jõhvi. Start at the Jõhvi town center and head to the main road (Tallinna mnt) heading east. Follow the road for about 13 kilometers until you reach Valaste village. Look for signs directing you to Valaste Waterfall. The ride will take approximately 45-60 minutes. The route is mostly flat, making it suitable for casual cyclists.
