    Start from Kärdla town center, near the Kärdla bus station. Head northwest on J. Kuperjanovi street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection at Aia street. Turn left onto Aia street and walk until you reach the coast. Follow the coastal path north until you reach the Tahkuna road. Turn left onto Tahkuna road, and continue walking straight for approximately 10 kilometers until you see the Tahkuna lighthouse on your right. The walk will take about 2.5 to 3 hours depending on your pace.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle in Kärdla town center. Start your ride by heading northwest on J. Kuperjanovi street. At the intersection with Aia street, turn left and follow the road until you reach the coast. Take the coastal path heading north, and then turn left onto Tahkuna road. Continue cycling straight for about 10 kilometers. The Tahkuna lighthouse will appear on your right-hand side after about 30 to 45 minutes of cycling, depending on your speed.

  • Public Transport

    From Kärdla, take a local bus to Tahkuna. Check the local bus schedule for the latest departure times. Once on the bus, you will travel approximately 25 minutes to the Tahkuna stop. After disembarking, walk along Tahkuna road heading south for about 1 kilometer, and you will see the Tahkuna lighthouse on your left. Be sure to check the bus return schedule to ensure you have a ride back to Kärdla.
