As you exit the castle, turn left onto Lossiplats street. Continue walking straight for about 200 meters. You will see Vabadussõja mälestussammas (the War of Independence Memorial) located on your right, just before reaching the end of Lossiplats street. The memorial is a prominent sculpture and is easily identifiable.

  • Car

    If you are driving, exit Haapsalu Castle and turn left onto Lossiplats street. Drive straight for about 200 meters. There is limited parking available in the vicinity of the memorial, so look for designated parking spots along the street. The Vabadussõja mälestussammas will be visible on your right-hand side before you reach the end of the street.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, you can take a local bus to Haapsalu city center. Once you arrive at the bus station, exit and walk towards the castle, which is about a 10-minute walk. Head towards the castle courtyard, exit from the eastern side, and then turn left onto Lossiplats street.
