If you are traveling by car, head towards Tallinn from anywhere in Lääne-Viru County. Use the E20 highway, which connects to Tallinn. As you approach Tallinn, follow the signs for 'Kesklinn' (City Center). Once in the city, follow the street signs leading to Toompea Hill. You can park at nearby parking facilities, such as the Rüütli parking house or the parking area on Toompea Hill, though parking may incur a fee.

Public Transportation

For public transport, take a bus or train from various locations in Lääne-Viru County to Tallinn. The bus station in Rakvere and the train station have frequent connections to Tallinn. Once you arrive at Tallinn's central bus or train station, you can take tram number 1 or 2 towards 'Balti Jaam' and get off at 'Toompea'. From the tram stop, it is a short walk to Toompea Castle, following the signs towards the castle.

Walking

If you are already in the vicinity of Toompea Hill, walking is a pleasant way to reach Toompea Castle. From the nearest public transport stop, follow the pedestrian paths that lead up the hill.
