Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards the town of Porkuni. From the center of Lääne-Virumaa, take the main road (E263) towards Jõhvi. After approximately 30 km, take the exit towards Porkuni. Continue on the local road until you reach Mäe 1/2, where the Porkuni Paemuuseum is located. There is parking available near the museum.
Public Transportation
To reach Porkuni Paemuuseum using public transportation, take a bus from the nearest town with bus services, such as Rakvere or Tapa. Buses headed towards Rakke or Jõhvi often stop in Porkuni. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited. Once you arrive in Porkuni, walk to Mäe 1/2, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
Walking from Local Bus Stop
If you arrive at the Porkuni bus stop, exit the bus and head southeast on the main road. Follow the signs for the museum, which will direct you to Mäe 1/2. The walk is about 800 meters and should take roughly 10 minutes.
