Car
If you are traveling by car within Lahemaa, head towards the town of Viitna. From the center of Lahemaa National Park, take the Tallinn-Narva highway (E20) and then take the exit towards Viitna (approximately 30 km). Follow the signs for Viitna, and continue straight until you reach the village. The Viitna nature trail is located near the village center at coordinates 59.4475839, 26.0124921. There is parking available near the trailhead.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, you can take a bus from Tallinn to Viitna. Buses to Viitna leave from the Tallinn Bus Station (Tallinna Autobussijaam). Check the schedule for routes that stop at Viitna, as some may only run a few times a day. Once you arrive in Viitna, the nature trail is a short walk from the bus stop. Look for signs directing you to the trailhead, which is approximately 1 km away from the bus stop.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of Viitna, you can easily walk to the nature trail. From the center of the village, head towards the main road and follow the signs that indicate the nature trail. The walk should take around 15-20 minutes, passing through scenic landscapes typical of the Lahemaa region. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes, as some paths may be uneven.
