Stephen the Seagull: A Quirky Icon of Tallinn

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from Tallinn's Old Town, head towards the Viru Gate, which is one of the main entrances to the Old Town. From there, walk straight down Viru Street until you reach the intersection with Kullassepa Street. Turn right onto Kullassepa Street and continue until you reach the end of the street. Then turn left onto Pärnu Road (Pärnu maantee). After walking a few minutes, you will see a large park area on your right. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Narva Road. Turn right on Narva Road and walk until you reach the vicinity of the address 10130 Tallinn, where Stephen the Seagull is located. You will find him near the waterfront, so keep an eye out for the large seagull statue.

• Public Transport

  From the city center, you can take tram number 1 or 2 from the Tallinn Tram stop. Board the tram and travel towards the 'Kopli' (for Tram 1) or 'Tondi' (for Tram 2) direction. Get off at the 'Vabaduse Väljak' stop. Once you exit the tram, walk towards the Freedom Square (Vabaduse Väljak) and head towards Narva Road. After a few minutes of walking down Narva Road, look for the area around 10130 Tallinn where Stephen the Seagull is located near the waterfront.

  If you prefer to bicycle, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing services available in Tallinn. Start from the Old Town and head towards the waterfront. Follow the bike paths along the coast, enjoying the view of the sea. Keep cycling until you reach the area near 10130 Tallinn. Stephen the Seagull is located in this vicinity, so look for the large seagull statue as you approach the waterfront.
