Getting There

Walking

If you are starting from the Town Hall Square (Raekoja Plats), head east towards Pikk Street (Pikk tänav). Continue walking straight along Pikk Street for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Kohtu Street (Kohtu tänav). Turn left onto Kohtu Street, which will take you uphill. As you walk, enjoy the beautiful views of the city. Continue walking until you see Toompea Castle on your right at Lossi Plats 1a. The castle is located at the top of Toompea Hill, and you can't miss its impressive facade.

Starting from the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, which is located on the same hill, simply walk down the steps from the cathedral and follow the path leading to Lossi Plats. Toompea Castle is directly in front of you once you reach the square. The walk is very short and offers scenic views of the surrounding area.

If you are near the Patkul Viewpoint (Patkuli tn), you can easily reach Toompea Castle. From the viewpoint, head down the steps towards Lossi Plats. Once you reach the bottom of the steps, the castle will be straight ahead. This route provides an excellent opportunity to take in the panoramic views of Tallinn before reaching your destination.
