Car
To reach Tartu Observatory by car from Tartu University, start by heading southwest on Ülikooli Street towards Lossi Street. After about 1 km, continue onto the Tartu Ring Road (E263) and follow the signs for Tõravere. Take the exit towards Tõravere and continue straight for approximately 7 km. You will see signs for Tartu Observatory as you approach. The observatory is located at Observatooriumi 1, Tõravere, 61602 Tartu County. There is free parking available on-site.

From Tartu University, walk to the Tartu Bus Station located near the city center at 1a, J. Liivi Street. You can catch a bus heading to Tõravere; buses typically run every 30 minutes. The journey takes around 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Tõravere bus stop, it's a short 1 km walk to Tartu Observatory. Follow the main road (Observatooriumi Street) directly to the observatory. Make sure to check the local bus schedule for exact timings. The bus fare is approximately €1.
