Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Tartu, head towards the Town Hall Square (Raekoja plats). Once there, look for the statue of Karl Ernst von Baer. From the statue, walk towards the street called Ülikooli Street (Ülikooli tn). Continue straight on Ülikooli Street for approximately 700 meters. You will see the ruins of Tartu Cathedral on your left at Ülikooli 18, 50090 Tartu. The entrance to the site is accessible from the street, and you will be able to explore the historical ruins.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    If you are near the bus stop 'Tartu Raekoja Plats', take bus number 1 or number 4. Ride for about 5 minutes and get off at the stop 'Ülikooli'. From there, walk approximately 200 meters straight on Ülikooli Street until you reach the Ruins of Tartu Cathedral at Ülikooli 18, 50090 Tartu. The ruins will be on your right.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Tartu Town Hall and head towards the river. Follow the bike path along the Emajõgi River until you reach the bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the bike path that leads to Ülikooli Street. Continue on Ülikooli Street, and after about 1 kilometer, you will find the Ruins of Tartu Cathedral on your left at Ülikooli 18, 50090 Tartu.
