From Tartu University, head south towards the main entrance of the university. Exit onto Ülikooli Street and continue walking straight for about 500 meters. You will pass the A. Le Coq Beer Museum on your right. Continue until you reach the intersection with Rüütli Street. Turn left onto Rüütli Street and walk for about 200 meters. You will see the Tartu Public Library on your right at Kompanii 3-5.

Begin at Tartu University and walk to the nearest bus stop located on Ülikooli Street. Take bus number 1 or 2 towards 'Tartu Kesklinn'. The journey should take approximately 5 minutes. Disembark at the 'Kesklinn' stop. From there, walk along Rüütli Street for about 200 meters until you reach Tartu Public Library at Kompanii 3-5. Note that a single bus ticket costs around €1.50.
