Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, begin your journey in Tartu city center. Head south on Magdaleena Street, continuing onto Raatuse Street. After about 1 kilometer, turn left onto Kaarsild Street. Follow this road for approximately 500 meters, and you will find Arch Bridge (Kaarsild) on your right. There is street parking available nearby, but be sure to check local parking regulations to avoid fines.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Arch Bridge by public transport, take a bus from Tartu bus station. Look for buses heading towards the 'Tartu Südalinn' route. The journey takes around 10-15 minutes. You will need to get off at the 'Kaarsild' stop, which is only a short walk from the bridge. The bus fare is approximately €1.50, and tickets can be purchased from the driver or at the ticket machines.

• Walking

  If you're already in Tartu and prefer to walk, start from the Town Hall Square (Raekoja Plats). Head south on Ülikooli Street towards the Emajõgi River. Once you reach the river, turn right and walk along the riverbank for about 1 kilometer. You'll see the Arch Bridge ahead as you approach the Kaarsild area. This scenic walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes.

• Bicycle

  For those interested in cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Tartu. Begin at the Tartu Town Hall and head south on the bike lanes along the river. Follow the signs towards Kaarsild. The ride is about 2 kilometers and should take around 10-15 minutes. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules.
