Public Bus
From the center of Valga, walk to the Valga bus station, which is located on Tartu Street. Look for buses heading towards Lossiküla or Sangaste. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Lossiküla bus stop, exit the bus and head northeast on Lossiküla road. Continue walking for about 1 km until you reach Sangaste Castle, which is located on your left.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Valga. Start your journey by heading southeast on Tartu Street towards Lossiküla road. Follow Lossiküla road for about 7 km, enjoying the scenic views. Once you reach Sangaste Castle, you can park your bicycle at the designated area near the castle entrance.
Walking
For a more adventurous route, you can walk from Valga to Sangaste Castle. Start from the center of Valga and head southeast along Tartu Street until you reach Lossiküla road. Turn left onto Lossiküla road and continue walking for approximately 7 km. The walk will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Sangaste Castle will be on your left as you approach.
