From the center of Viljandi, head south on Lossi Street towards the Viljandi Castle ruins. Continue walking until you reach the end of Lossi Street and turn left onto Tallinna Street. Follow Tallinna Street until you reach the bus station, which is approximately a 15-minute walk. From there, take bus number 10 towards Pärnu. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Riisa' bus stop. Once you disembark, the Riisa Nature Trail is just a short walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs to the trailhead, which is about 500 meters away.

Head south from the city center towards the Viljandi Castle ruins and then follow the same route as the walking directions to reach the bus station.
