If you're starting from the Viljandi town center, head southeast towards the Viljandi Castle ruins. From the castle, walk down the hill towards the Viljandi Lake. Once you reach the lake, follow the walking path along the water's edge. Continue walking until you come to the Trepimägi area, which is located to the north of the lake. You will see signs guiding you to Trepimägi as you approach the hill.
