If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the center of Viljandi. Head east on Tartu Street (Tartu mnt) towards the E263 highway. After about 30 kilometers, merge onto E263 and continue for approximately 15 kilometers. Take the exit towards Valmaotsa, and follow the signs for the Selli-Sillaotsa study trail. The trailhead is located at Valmaotsa, 60605 Tartu County. There is no entry fee for the trail.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, begin at the Viljandi Bus Station. Take a bus heading to Tartu, which typically takes around 40-50 minutes. Once you arrive at Tartu, transfer to a local bus towards Valmaotsa. The bus ride to Valmaotsa takes about 20 minutes. After getting off at the Valmaotsa stop, follow local signage or consult a map to find the Selli-Sillaotsa study trail, which is nearby. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Viljandi and follow the same route as the car directions.
