Car
From Lubombo, head towards the N2 highway. Follow the N2 south towards the town of Pongola. The journey is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Once you reach Pongola, look for signs directing you to Jozini Lake. Continue on the R66 road until you arrive at the entrance of Pongola Game Reserve, located at 'Pongola Game Reserve, Jozini Lake, 3170, South Africa'. There may be an entrance fee for the reserve, so have cash ready.
Public Transportation
To reach Pongola Game Reserve from Lubombo using public transport, start by taking a minibus taxi from Lubombo to Pongola. These minibuses usually depart from designated taxi ranks and the fare is quite affordable, typically around R30-50 (South African Rand). The journey takes about 2 to 3 hours.
